What inspires you? It's a good question to answer for yourself.
I am inspired by good stories and rock and roll music.
It's important to me to know what inspires me because these things feed my creative process. When I'm having a hard time starting something new or finding an idea, I know I can recollect a favorite story or blast some of my favorite music and images and ideas begin to flow.
I love the problem solving of figuring out how to translate a story or the mood of a song into a piece of artwork. I love the process of making an abstract connection or even a more literal representation. I especially love the more esoteric pieces I do that are like secret communications with others who love the same things that I love.
Take a few minutes to think about what inspires you. Maybe it's color. Maybe it's weather. Maybe it's a period of history that you especially love. If nothing comes to mind, it's well worth some time spent daydreaming about what it is that gets your creative juices flowing. Still stuck? Let me help you find your inspiration and momentum. They are a winning combination for living your creative potential.
