What are we afraid of?
I have some ideas about that. I think we are afraid of rejection. Or maybe, afraid people won't accept us. Sure, I've met those people who say, "I don't give a care what people think about me." But I believe most of want to be accepted by our peers. Maybe we are afraid of wasting our time. What if this idea sucks? What if I'm not good enough?
I had a kaleidoscope of emotions preparing for my first gallery experience. One of the stronger emotions was fear. Am I good enough? What will people think of my art? What will people think of me? Is this even art?

Taking creative risks exposes something very personal. When I am being truly creative, I push myself. I try new things and go outside my comfort zone. Sometimes it makes me afraid.
The good news is... this is totally normal. When fear pops up for me, I remind myself of a few simple truths:
