We all want to create something we are happy with in the end. I get that. However, when I put a lot of pressure on myself to meet a certain standard, all the joy is leached out of the process. What is the end game? There is only an outside chance that my work will ever hang in a museum. If that’s my end game, I will most likely be disappointed. If my end game is to enjoy the process of expressing myself in a creative way, and I do it over and over, I just may end up with a masterpiece. Or not. But I will have spent quality time with myself enjoying the creative process.
